Final reflection of 7 Habits Beta (2020-2021)

This is an appreciation post for Priti ma’am and Vandana ma’am and the entire group of 7 habits Beta. I have been very fortunate to know my group and both my facilitators. This class has helped me to connect with my life and understand its purpose a little better.

Every day we wake up and work like robots without actually understanding the real purpose of doing that job. But with the 7 habits, I have started to understand the importance of life.

  • We have learned how and when to prioritize ourselves and our work.
  • We have learned how to achieve mental and emotional balance in spite of this hectic life.
  • We learned how to work in coordination with other people even though our ideas wouldn’t match.
  • We learned that being good listeners is as important as being good communicators.
  • We also learned that there are always ways in which both parties will be able to win.

The most precious learning that I will take back from these classes will be that it’s okay to not be perfect. We all make mistakes in our life but instead of regretting those mistakes, let’s learn something from them and embrace them.

My overall experience has been wonderful and I would like to once again thank my entire group along with the facilitators for being courageous enough to share their personal experiences with a bunch of ”online strangers”.

7 HABITS BETA : FINAL REFLECTION

I am thankful to Steven Covey and FS facilitators as they gave us the instances where we could actually understand :

  • How to lead our life!
  • Prioritizing the responsibilities.
  • Sparing time for myself is equally important.
  • Two heads are better than one: It has its own pros and cons.
  • Art of listening.
  • Clarifying expectations
  • Win -win, Win-lose, Lose-win
  • Adding into the emotional Bank a/c……and what not the list goes on……
  • The last two sessions were the best ones: Loved the activities to the core.

I would like to thank the facilitators as they kept the sessions lively and all the participants engrossed. We all have a special bond between us now and we always feel connected. Our batch always felt it was the best time as we loved meeting each other.

7 Habits Beta (2021) – Final Reflection

So our Life Class ends here but the learning will go on. The experience, the memories will stay. The person I am now, is a better version of me who will strive to continue working on myself as per the 7 habits. I was a socially reserved person, but found myself at ease during the sessions. Be it the facilitators, the members, everyone created a safe, comfortable environment. I saw most of us dropping our inhibitions and learning to accept things on which we have no control over. I saw many of us being more grateful for things we were taking for granted. We apologized for our mistakes and said thank you to the people around us by acknowledging their worth.

Overall, it was an experience that showed us the the best way to approach life and its experiences.

We all came in the Life Class as very different people who had different circles of influence and various paradigms.

But we are leaving as people who know the value of principles and who have a renewed perspective on LIFE.

Life Classes 2020-2021

My journey with the life classes started in the year 2020 and until now it has been a very smooth ride. I have enjoyed all the discussions and learnings from the classes. They have been eye-opening for me in one way or another.

Firstly. I would like to appreciate FS for all the efforts that they take to care for their employees. I have never heard of a workplace where the employees are being asked about their mental and physical health or where they are getting an open place to talk and share the challenges that they are facing in their day-to-day lives without being judged by anyone. And maybe this is because I don’t have much work experience but still I would really appreciate FS, Vandana Ma’am and Priti ma’am for creating such open space.

I am an introvert and it takes time for me to adjust to a new setting. That is the reason I haven’t been able to share my thoughts in the class. But despite this, I have been a very good listener. And that has helped me a lot as well.

I have gained a lot of knowledge and I have been able to learn a lot from other people’s experiences. I have learned that life is always tough for everyone. And everyone has different ways of dealing with life. The 7 habits are like a guide that helps us in figuring out life in the right way towards the right direction.

Thank you and keep inspiring!

7 Habits Beta Life Class – What I learned

When I joined FS in the year 2020, I had many personal and other problems in my life and when I was introduced to the work culture here at Fountainhead, I found a new spark in me. Then I came across the concept of “Life Class” and initially joined it reluctantly, however, as time passed by, I saw the true aspect of these lectures and how I related myself with the topics discussed therein.

The one thing that I related to the most was, being self-centered and caring about our own happiness first, for if we are happy ourselves, then only would we be able to focus on other things in life and grow. The Life Class taught me how to sort things out according to priorities and be vocal about the problems which I faced. Being an introvert I was not much interested in change and believed it best to stay within the bubble of the comfort zone that I had lived in throughout my life. I learned about paradigms and how we get affected by them involuntarily, mine was not accepting change and not coming out of my own shell. The topics discussed in the Life class helped me improve and take charge of my own life. I would like to thank the team of Life Class and most importantly the Fountainhead School for providing such an amazing opportunity for me to improve myself and be better.
