Life Classes – Day 3 & 4

The past two days of life classes were incredibly enjoyable. I’ll always cherish the joy and excitement we experienced on Day 4 while we were out in the field. It was a great way to tap into our competitive spirit while having fun. For any team to succeed, trust, strategic planning, and motivation to bring new solutions are essential.

One of our facilitators mentioned that working in teams helps us learn about our strengths and discover more about ourselves, and I wholeheartedly agree. It’s through our interactions with others that we gain deeper insights into our patterns and behaviours; we simply can’t function in isolation.

Revisiting the movie “Chak De! India” after such a long time also gave me many insights. It highlighted how the stories we tell ourselves about patriotism, nationalism, winning, and losing shape our behavior. The film emphasizes the importance of having a shared purpose to pursue a common goal, which can be quite challenging. As SRK’s character wisely states,

“Maine kaha tha na, team banane ke liye taakat nahi … niyat chahiye.”
I told you, to make a team you don’t need strength … you need intention.

Thank you for an amazing two days!

I had an exceptional experience during the life classes. The name of the class itself provides meaning and insights on the perspective of life including 7 habits. The classes for the same threw a light of clarity over my road of doubts, hurdles, and challenges and even changed my vision and the ways I was taking up my challenges in life.
Prior to these sessions, I had been approaching the “7 Habits” casually and struggled to integrate them meaningfully into my daily routine. However, the workshop offered a structured and practical approach that helped me understand and apply these habits more effectively. The experience has been transformative, offering me a clear framework to implement these principles in my life.
It was an impactful learning experience and Thank you Puja Ma’am and Muskan for the guidance and insight provided throughout the classes. You both are amazing 🙂

Storytelling

Wonderful sessions organised by the facilitator which gave amazing insights about story and its elements. Starting from the PPT with a picture of a book and ‘storytelling’ as the heading, created magical platform for the further activities. We learnt about ‘Ras’ and ‘Bhaav’ which are the essential part of any story or performance. After gaining knowledge about the same we performed a small group play, which gave a wonderful clarity of building up a story with emotions. Both the days included lots of visuals, role plays and it ended with a ‘cinematic time – watching movie (The Buckingham Murders). Overall it was fun learning experience.

Storytelling day 3 & 4

Its a very good experience and agar kuch janna ho ya kuch karna ho to deep me jane ki jarurat he. Hum ese hi kisi ko judge kr lete he lekin jab wahi hamare pe aati he tbhi pata chalta he ki actual situation kya chhe.

And ye class me bahut achhi tarah se samjaya with live example and live karvake.

Activities: Group act, Nine emotions, Bhava and Rasa, scene story analysis, movie etc kahete he gammat ke sath gyan mila and jo fear tha wo bhi nikal gaya.

thank you Sagarsir.

Storytelling

I recently attended an engaging storytelling session that truly stood out. We explored the concepts of rasa and bhava, diving into nine emotions that enrich narratives. The importance of expression was emphasized as we practiced using voice and body language to convey feelings. Group activities helped us structure our stories effectively, ensuring a compelling flow. Performing our tales allowed everyone’s creativity to shine, making the experience both rewarding and inspiring. Overall, it left us excited about storytelling with new skills and connections!

storytelling day 3&4

In the session of the storytelling class, we delved deep into the concepts of Nav Ras (the nine emotions) and Bhaav (expressions of emotions), exploring how they resonate not only in our personal lives but also in storytelling. We learned that these elements serve as the emotional backbone of any narrative, allowing us to connect with our audience more authentically. We explored the impact emotions have on storytelling and how mastering the expression of these emotions can bring depth and life to our characters and plots. This was a transformative experience, as it opened our eyes to how nuanced emotions can be, and how they subtly influence the way stories are received and remembered.Additionally, through practical application, we created a drama that was centered around emotions and the navrash. This activity was instrumental in helping us put theory into practice, as we embodied different emotions, allowing us to understand how each Ras and Bhaav shapes the narrative.Overall, the experience was insightful, enhancing our storytelling skills and deepening our emotional intelligence, both as storytellers and individuals.

Reflection – Story telling Day 3 & Day 4

We started our day 3 with poem and understood concepts of story telling from it.We did few activities like sound based short task on story telling , express emotions with action , etc to understand different emotions and expressions. These all activities were quite amazing and enjoyed each one of them. Finally we did one short act based on emotion which was really fun.We tried to follow few stage etiquette like standing at 45 degree angle, break the fourth wall, follow story structure etc.We started our day 4 with discussion on one song but after we saw detailing done on that one scene in a video. We were surprised to that how much time and thought was behind that one song. We did act on each emotions individually and it was great. We watched a movie “Buckingham murders” which was good and we tried to visualize elements of story.

Story Telling Days 3 & 4

Both days of the story telling workshops were indulging fun-filled with lots of learnings. The activities that were conducted were inline with the learning to ensure practical knowledge. We learned about emotion, navrasa, bhav, etc. Also, with the guidance of Sagar sir, we were able to imagine a provided content to think and convert to a group play if 5 minutes. The art of Sagar sir in a way he makes the group understand is commendable. I thank you for giving us wonderful 2 days

Storytelling Day 3 & 4

Here’s a reframed version:

“I had an incredible experience during Days 3 and 4 of our storytelling workshop! We delved into the fascinating world of 9 Ras (emotions) and Bhaav (expressions), and brought them to life through acting exercises.

A highlight was tackling the challenging gibberish act, which pushed our creative boundaries. We also enjoyed screening Buckingham, a film that offered valuable lessons.

A particularly rewarding exercise was delivering dialogues infused with various Ras, honing our skills in conveying emotions. This immersive experience was both entertaining and enlightening, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow in the session.

Storytelling

The storytelling session was an engaging and enriching experience. The incorporation of Ras and Bhav along with the gibberish charade game added a fun and interactive layer to the learning process. The acts based on story structure allowed participants to dive deeper into understanding emotions, especially with the reference to the 9 emotions of Natya Shastra. The videos shown provided a helpful visual element, and the evaluation afterward gave everyone a chance to reflect on their understanding. The projective interpretation game was a unique and creative way to explore storytelling further. Overall, the session was well-planned and offered a great mix of learning and fun. Kudos to you, for organizing such an immersive and interactive experience!
