Habits worth preserving!

When I was signed up for the 7 Habits’ Life Class, I had no clue as to what was in store for me; all I remember is the exhilaration resembling that of a child’s, on his first day to school!

Saying that this class introduced me to ‘new’ habits to befriend wouldn’t be the best way to put it, as we have all directly or indirectly been acquainted with most of these in some or the other form (or the lack of these!) experientially. So I’d rather say that this allowed me to reflect on my own choices in life, by giving me space and time to introspect the difference between knowing and doing, for the challenge lies not merely in being aware, but in taking action (although that’s still a long way down the road!).

I wouldn’t deny the fact that this state of awareness allowed me to dig deeper into my own self, and crack my shell open just a tad bit, to sharpen my saw. In order to satiate the procrastinator in me, I had found a lot of important things piled up on my backseat. However, they’re slowly starting to take over, and for good (yay!). I wasn’t surprised to realise that being proactive would be the most difficult habit for me to adopt, considering how I am the most extreme case of procrastinator I could possibly imagine. Hence, I’m yet to find the motivation to kick myself out of bed and work on my physical well-being!

Needless to say, the experience wouldn’t have been the same without the support and guidance of our facilitators, Mitali ma’am and Tasnim ma’am who role-modeled the same at all times; after all, at FS we lead by example! We’re indebted to you for it all! 🙂
