7 Habits Class

Ramblings of a ‘Life’long Learner ?

Dear Life,

It’s not like I don’t know about you but I have also taken you for granted umpteen times. If I carefully think about you and recall about how I treated you, I would curse myself a lot. Though there have been times I’ve been gentle with you and tried to understand you, I’ve also been eluded by you or eluded myself voluntarily to not care for you.

I don’t know if you can be taught in classes but the last few months have made me more human in terms of revisiting the nooks and corners that I missed on owing to my own indifference. I am still learning how to be a better learner but reflecting on our strengths and weaknesses, probing into our paradigms, investing in and withdrawing from our EBAs , prioritising what should come first, consciously thinking about the 7 habits and putting things together bit by bit was possible because of the life classes we had.

I hope that I would be able to do more justice to you my dear friend. In case I falter, please bear with me.

Life Class 2020 7 Habits Reflection

2020 has been a weird year for me. On one hand, the world was going through a ridiculous time, suffering through a pandemic, with people losing jobs, and lives, and not knowing what to do. On the other hand, I got my first job, in such a well-reputed school like Fountainhead, even before I completed my Bachelors. And the online format was just as new to me as the offline format would’ve been, and I was adapting to everything new with great excitement and enthusiasm. Life Class was something I was very excited about, and I hoped it would help me improve my life in some aspects.

And it did not disappoint. Now, the things we learned in Life Classes weren’t something extremely profound or secrets that give magical powers, but they were deeply insightful and important for daily routine, if applied. These occasional classes served as constant reminders for us to keep seeking improvement in our daily lives. It was a good mix of theory and practicals. We got many perspectives and the facilitators did an excellent job of keeping us all engaged, despite the DL format. I don’t think I got any direct results from life class learnings, but I do believe that I picked parts of it subconsciously and was able to apply them somewhat. Earlier I was very inconsistent in reading books, for example, but towards the end of the Life class journey, I see that I’ve become a regular reader.

Another major takeaway from the life classes was getting to know the FS people outside our teams. As all my interactions in FS had been online, I knew very few people outside of my Maths team, but Life Classes with all its interactive activities helped in breaking that wall for me and getting to know more people from various parts of FS.

It has been a really good journey, and I’m hoping that next year we can have Life Classes offline, which could be even better!

Life Class- 7 Habits

Irrefutably, year 2020 has been a year of precariousness and obscured challenges.

The sessions on the habits using a virtual platform – performing activities online like movie watching, case study discussions, expressing/understanding emotions, sharing ideas, and in between great energizers, were conducted exquisitely well. In order to be triumphant and happy, Life Class, suggests everyone implement the habits in day-to-day life which were very well implemented by the facilitators and made sure that each and everyone come up with their amazing insights during the session.

Being an introvert, I saw myself being interacting with different team members, working on the same communication goal. “The beautiful thing about learning is that nobody can take it away from you.”I was very well aware of the 7 habits but these sessions gave me a different lens to picturise and helped me to implement this in my daily life. I would like to appreciate FS and the facilitators for all the efforts they made to take up these astounding sessions…I will be always looking forward to attend these classes, thanks to Manjeet ma’am and Arshi ma’am.

Thank you!!

LIFE CLASS 2020-21: LEARNING

I have joint FS in the year 2020 which has been a year of uncertainties and unexpected challenges. Everything changed and the lives of almost every individual also changed with the Pandemic. But there is no stoppage in life so we have to find a way to manage ourselves with “New Normal”.

This new normal brought new challenges, especially with online teaching. Life class helps us to manage all this efficiently.  Life classes help us to build values and helping live life to contentment. Life classes help us share our experiences and learn from them. This is the platform where we can share our weakness and work upon it. I have become an expert listener now. I enjoyed the journey of LC. Everyone sharing their personal life problem, others giving solutions to them, make an invisible bond among us. I have met many brave ones, many suffering in their life but yet working well. games and movies were like the cherry on the cake! We had healthy discussions in the group which helps us understand the different perspectives towards life. The best part was The facilitators ensured that everyone is comfortable, involved, and participative in the class. I heartily thank FS for conducting such classes that act as a guide, not only in professional development but also in personal growth.

7 Habits – Gamma

Personal as well Professional development is (or should be) a continuous process of self-improvement – be that via learning new skills, earning new qualifications or, on a more personal level, developing or deepening the more spiritual side of yourself.

Sharing my own personal experience.

  • i tried getting smarter or may be Proactive in goal-setting
  • received a more balanced life
  •  experienced the lowest levels of stress at the time of life class
  • I became more self-confident
  •  improved the quality of my life style.
  • tried becoming became healthier and fitter
  • Tried enriching their relationship with my family keeping in mind the Deposites and Withdrawals as an when required.
  • Improving and leaving bad habits behind

Those are pretty impressive figures which span a broad range of professional and personal areas and all were achieved because i devoted time for my personal as well professional development.

Life Class: 7 Habits Gamma

When I received the invite for life class I was clueless about its purpose, what it is, and everything. I wasn’t cognizant that this could be a very comforting journey at the workplace. I met different people amidst this lockdown, though virtually but we got to know them. We started with an interesting introduction, relating ourselves, it was divine.

In our busy schedules where we were yearning for a break, a leave life class came to the rescue by taking all the stress away from us. Though it didn’t reduce the workload, it definitely contracted the pressure created out of the workload that we had. I find this a great gesture by the school for its employees.

It is only due to life class, I feel contented with my life; I feel grateful to the people around me. It made me realize how I can grow, and that is what a real class does. There few changes I tried to implement in my life, the first and foremost thing is that I seek to understand others first and then understood. I won’t say that I have completely changed yeah but that is a gradual change that I have observed. I lend my ears to people who have things to share. I used to be very talkative, but I think now I have turned out to be a communicator, as this not only involves speaking but listening too. Again thanks to life class.

There are a lot of things that could be said, but definitely, it helped. One way life class helped us is to make me plan my tasks better and complete tasks before the deadline.

7 Habit life class

7 habit life classes have helped me a lot to understand different perspectives. My thoughts and actions towards other people and my own life have now changed in a very positive manner. Before reacting to any situation I think from another’s perspective. I have learned to manage my personal and professional life balance and being more proactive. Instead of being judgmental and misunderstanding, I have learned to be an empathetic and understanding person. Especially the death activity has taught me to think for long-term planning instead of quick and short-term planning. This is a wonderful platform where people can share their problems and open their hearts without being judged. The feeling of having someone to listen to and getting empathy is priceless.

Life Classes 2020-2021

My journey with the life classes started in the year 2020 and until now it has been a very smooth ride. I have enjoyed all the discussions and learnings from the classes. They have been eye-opening for me in one way or another.

Firstly. I would like to appreciate FS for all the efforts that they take to care for their employees. I have never heard of a workplace where the employees are being asked about their mental and physical health or where they are getting an open place to talk and share the challenges that they are facing in their day-to-day lives without being judged by anyone. And maybe this is because I don’t have much work experience but still I would really appreciate FS, Vandana Ma’am and Priti ma’am for creating such open space.

I am an introvert and it takes time for me to adjust to a new setting. That is the reason I haven’t been able to share my thoughts in the class. But despite this, I have been a very good listener. And that has helped me a lot as well.

I have gained a lot of knowledge and I have been able to learn a lot from other people’s experiences. I have learned that life is always tough for everyone. And everyone has different ways of dealing with life. The 7 habits are like a guide that helps us in figuring out life in the right way towards the right direction.

Thank you and keep inspiring!
