CT – The way to think

I really liked the concept mapping activity. Through this activity, I understood how CT works. I got to know about System-1 and System-2 thinking and I am able to connect how these systems and we respond to situations The debate helped me understand the difference between facts, opinions, beliefs, and truths (justified true beliefs). I also learn that before making any judgment we need to go in-depth and understand things from a different perspective and also look for the data and reality.

Reflection- Critical thinking

Critical thinking gives the opportunity to think upon thinking, and that rethinking process helps identify what kind of thinking we do, system 1 or system 2.

As I am closely working with an event “Kalakriti”, it’s giving me a series of experiences in this kind of situation where I am analyzing the situations and able to connect where  I am thinking instantly and need to take pause. And I even thought of understanding the situation. So complete process of thinking critically shifted me from system 1 to system 2.

WHY??? – A very interesting word.

FS has been a very safe place to explore this word – WHY. One can use it anywhere and with anyone. Wrong!! It’s not how it works in FS. It needs systems – system 1 and system 2 to identify where and to whom to ask WHY. This was a reiteration for me.

Over the years a lot have changed after my first encounter with Critical thinking classes. I have come a long way and have tried my level best to apply – reasonably – my system 1 and system 2 while acting, reacting, givning opinion, facts or truth. It’s still a long way – but as my title says – asking why has always been a very intersting thing for me. Looking forward for more such intersting whys from this batchmates.

Integrity & Emotional Intelligence – Theta”The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”

I loved the spirit and enthusiasm and great sense of humor of our facilitators. During these two days’ sessions, we discussed how to deal with our fears and what action to be taken. I feel that Many times, your worries are a direct result of the fact that you’re not in control of everything. The things that are in your control, you can manage just fine. If things are turbulent right now and anxiety is beating up on you, you can get your peace back. But it takes looking in the mirror, acknowledging the truth, and making changes. So training your brain to accept that there’s no threat will help you to switch off the fear response. You’ll soon realize that it’s the fear of fear that you fear, nothing else. And that will eventually become easy to manage.

My painting experience weekend

I was always interested in drawing, painting but I was not having the skill to do it. It was a wonderful opportunity to get myself enroll. I enjoyed both the days.

On day 1- I loved canvas painting. Where we observed nature, we reflect on our thoughts and portrayed it on canvas.

On the next day we learnt Phad art which was focusing on Rajasthani culture. We learnt how do they use colors, materials, design.

Indeed my weekend was colorful.

Where my thoughts, images, stories, color were on the paper

Making my heart sing…

and soul dance.

I went home feeling very happy and looking forward.
