Another session, another lesson, a moment that added to my cognition. In the field of self-development and self-improvement, Sean Covey’s “His 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” is an invaluable guide. With the help of this live teaching session, the presenter took us on a practical journey of life. Learning about the seven habits we had a chance to engage in a lot of activities, wherein we explored the importance of teamwork. We discussed the framework of the seven habits which talks about moving from the stage of dependence to interdependence that is achieving public victory. A movie depicting the importance of following these habits added to the glory of the session.

Wabi Sabi!

Art and craft has always had a special place in my heart… on this voyage I was able to unfurl my hidden love for pottery and many more artforms that we were introduced to. I feel delighted to have worked with art connoisseurs viz. Priyanka ma’am and Neha ma’am. Every piece that I created has my heart and yes a tad bit of brains as well for the technicalities that goes into creating an art piece…They say ‘beauty lies in imperfections’, hence the title -wabi sabi- is apt for all that I have learnt in this enlightening journey! Forever grateful to FS for this experience…

The freedom to express!!

In many subjects, there’s often a right or wrong answer, but art taught me the beauty of subjectivity. Our facilitators created a nurturing environment where every idea was welcomed, and every creative impulse was celebrated. One of the most remarkable aspects of our art class was the sheer diversity of styles and mediums we were encouraged to explore. From the delicate intricacies of lippan art to making a bag for ourselves, every session was a doorway to a new world. The art class became more than just learning about art; it was a journey of self-discovery.

Art and Skills- Life Class

I was exited to be the part of this life-class as I am passionate to all kinds of Art work. As planned first day I painted a bedsheet with fabric paints. This skill was not new to me as I have done a lot of Art work in my school and college days. But it was fun doing the art. Second day we learned the Anemone art, this was something new for me as I used the Glue-gun for the first time. I could not produce the best art-piece but learning a new skill gives one a satisfaction.

I could not attend third to sixth day of Life class due to involvement of other projects in school. But I took update from my friends, I also made a Lippan art piece for one of my friend during Diwali vacation. I look forward to create some more art pieces in future. I always feel there is an Artist within me. I love to see my created art work again and again.

Art Therapy

How do you communicate?

Art teaches communication by providing another way of portraying feelings, ideas, and arguments to an audience besides words. Self expression can happen through creative means like drawing, painting, music and many more!
During the life class I was able to express myself through various means of art including paper mache, lippan art, fabric painting, pottery, not only this but also cooking and baking.
I enjoyed the creative process that helped me explore self-expression and, in doing so, find new ways to gain personal insight.
Art is truly therapeutic!

Embracing Creativity: A Journey of Exploring Art and Skills Workshop

I was eagerly looking forward to attending the Art and Skills workshop since the day it was announced as part of life classes. Finally, this year, I got the opportunity to attend these classes!

Not gonna lie, Day 1 was a little overwhelming seeing all the other participants doing such amazing artwork, and so quickly too! But gradually, I started exploring how I would like to work and what I’m interested in, and began enjoying these classes.I enjoyed creating some interesting art forms like pottery, acrylic cloth painting, and tissue paper art. The best part was doing mandala art whenever we had some time on hand.

The overall experience was rejuvenating with some fun conversations, good music, and a lot of interesting art projects.Thank you, Neha ma’am and Priyanka ma’am.

Wisdom in simplicity

Reflecting on my art classes has been a transformative journey. Exploring various forms like Lipan art, Van Gogh’s tissue art, pottery, painting, wall paintings, and fabric painting has not only honed my skills but also deepened my appreciation for diverse artistic expressions. The intricate techniques learned, especially from the works of Lipan and Van Gogh, have left an indelible mark on my creative process. Engaging in pottery allowed me to sculpt my ideas into tangible forms, while wall paintings and fabric art broadened my understanding of space and texture.

Each activity became a brushstroke in the canvas of my artistic growth. The classes provided a sanctuary for self-discovery, akin to a meditative experience. Through this artistic exploration, I found my voice, my style evolving with every stroke and shape. The supportive environment and the guidance received have been instrumental in fostering my confidence as an artist.

In essence, these art classes have been more than just skill-building exercises; they have been a journey of self-expression, unlocking the boundless potential within me. I look forward to continuing this artistic odyssey, armed with newfound techniques and a deeper connection to the world of art.

The Canvas of Self-Exploration- A journey through art and skill!

This year, I embarked on an exciting journey of self-discovery through an art and skill workshop as part of my life classes. Filled with eagerness to explore my creativity, I looked forward to the upcoming days with anticipation. As the workshop unfolded, time seemed to slip away, leaving me amazed at how quickly it passed. Through moments of introspection, I discovered a newfound appreciation for my patience and ability to enjoy moments of solitude, especially when immersed in the vibrant world of colors. Each session brought forth opportunities to delve into various forms of artistic expression, allowing me to broaden my horizons and push the limits of my creativity.

Reflecting on this experience, I feel compelled to encourage others to embark on their own artistic journey. We all possess the potential to create beauty in our own unique way, and through art, we can tap into that innate ability. The workshop wasn’t just about refining artistic skills; it was also about embracing the artist within each of us. It served as a reminder that art is not only about the final product but also about the process of self-discovery and expression.

As I look back on the workshop, I am grateful for the lessons learned and the memories created. It was a time of growth, exploration, and inspiration. Moving forward, I carry with me a newfound sense of confidence in my creative abilities and a deeper understanding of the importance of embracing creativity in all aspects of life.
