7 Habits & Love Day 3-4 (Gamma)

Day 3 and 4 of our life class were nothing short of remarkable. These two days were packed with activities, learning opportunities, and an abundance of joy and laughter. The class environment itself was a crucial contributor to our overall experience, making it easy for everyone to grasp the habits we were being taught.

One aspect that I particularly cherished during these days was the concept of playing listening games and role-playing different aspects of listening, such as ignoring and selective listening. This hands-on approach made understanding these habits not only enjoyable but also incredibly effective.

The four habits we delved into during these two days were “seek first to understand and then to be understood,” “think win-win,” “synergize,” and “sharpen the saw.” Through various engaging games, we gained profound insights into these habits. Synergy and teamwork became more than just words; they became concepts we could grasp and apply in our daily lives. The idea of “think win-win” resonated deeply with me, reminding me of the importance of collaboration and mutual benefit.

One of the highlights of our learning journey was watching the movie “Master Geeta Rani.” This film beautifully illustrated the integration of the seven habits into real-life situations. It served as a powerful reminder that these habits are not just theoretical concepts but practical tools that can enhance our relationships, communication, and overall effectiveness.

Thank you to our Facilitator their guidance and dedication made these two days of learning not only informative but also incredibly enjoyable. I found myself both enlightened and excited about what lies ahead in our life class

7 habits Beta day 3 and 4.

After a long break,  life classes were back.  after many HIs and Hellos, introduction with  the new members , we recapped the previous 2  sessions and began with habit 4: think win-win; we were given many situations and had to find out whether it was a win-win, win-lose,lose-lose,win…etc and had to make them into Win-Win.

For our 5th habit: we learned how communication is done with and without words and how sometimes, just listening to someone helps them calm down / relieve themselves.

Talking about listening, we heard from one of the guest speaker on how listening is so paramount, how to clear up the noise in our heads and how silence is getting extinct.

The next day we got excited for the games at KG farm  in which ‘synergy’ was the focus but our focus went on winning… in the 1st game atleast.

The 1st game was, how do I put it ? ‘Intense’; it was a mixture of relay , dog and the bone and the 2nd part was a stealing game.

The next game had a blind folded player and a person who guides that through the obstacle course, but it went terribly as the person was not just blind, he was deaf too. So instructions were of no value as he couldn’t hear them.

In the 3rd game, we made up strategies and it was in this game that synergy built up, the game was a mixture of balance, coordination and involved patience and  active listening. Our team was in the lead for most of the game, but unfortunately we lost because of a little impatience; but I would still consider it a win as the entire team had demonstrated incredible lvels of coordination and the synergy was off the charts.

The final game was tug of war and I don’t know how it is possible that anyone could win at the game without synergy, we won 3 rounds out of 4 against the opposing team and honestly, it was fun.

We then came back after changing and having breakfast to continue with the final habit i.e sharpen the saw.

We saw how important it is to sharpen oneself so that he/she may ” last longer” like the axe, we then divided the actions which are sharpening our saws and those which are spoiling it.

Finally we watched a movie which clearly demonstrated many  habits like: sharpening the saw, begin with end in mind, synergize, seek first to understand then be understood.

These 2 days will be very hard to forget and the wait starts once again for day 5 and 6.

7 Habits & Love – ALPHA

Life is a journey that often requires a map to navigate through its complexities. In the realm of personal development and self-improvement, Sean Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” offers an invaluable guide. With the help of this live class session the facilitator took us on a journey of the practicality of life. We did a lot of self reflection on a few critical real life situations which we don’t wonder about on a regular basis and to my knowledge I mark it as the climax of the session. Furthermore, we focused on our understanding of paradigm and the proximate shifts of it pertaining to our mindset.

This session intrigues me as I learned a lot about myself and about how to live a more effective and fulfilling life, to which I can say that will help me make more sound judgments. I am grateful for the facilitator’s guidance and support. It reinforced the significance of critical thinking in my personal and professional life, empowering me to question, analyze, and evaluate the significance of my actions more effectively.

Huge shout out to our facilitatorsThey’re the best, of course.

7 Habits & Love Day 1-2 (Gamma)

Firstly a big thanks to my facilitators Ravindra Sir and Vaishali Ma’am for giving us insights of the book, for their personal sharing, and of course the live guitar show for energizing us. These 2 days truly being informative and valuable as we learn how adapting these habits can make our life effective.

From drafting our perfect life to discussing the hurdles of it, from primary greatness to paradigm shift, from being proactive to discussing our circle of concern and influence, from making our personal vision mission statement to identifying our center we had it all, my understanding on all of these things got better by listening to my fellow colleagues experiences.

My Favourite from all of these is Identifying our rocks, pebbles, and sand and prioritization matrix. The matrix is going to help me balance my personal and professional life.

Lastly Thank you to Fountainhead School for giving us all the opportunity to learn and develop professionally.

7 Habits and Love – Karan G Sharma

In the life class, I’ve gained profound insights. People often create paradigm based on one’s past. My work priorities will be: spending time with family, pursuing my passion, then finding a job, going on trips, and limiting social media. Realizing life’s brevity, I’ll greet, help, and apologize to others. I learned to focus on my actions, not others, and to make my own choices. Grateful to Sufiyan sir and Jyoti ma’am for their guidance, they’ve taught me invaluable life lessons. Thank you, everyone, for sharing your thoughts and stories. These teachings have enlightened me, shaping a brighter path ahead.
