7 habits Class: A way of life

This was the first time that I went through any motivating self development class. Life class has been very useful and have managed to apply the learnings in my daily routines. Have managed to make many friends that will stay with me for a long time.

The life class has impacted the way I approach my life.

Certain paradigm shifts that I experienced and learned a lot from others experience.

Happy to be part of it.

Thanks

Learning for life

I am thankful to FS for providing these wonderful 9 days and making me think about my life. I am thankful to the facilitators (Ms. Tasnim Batliwala and Ms. Mitali Shah) who guided us in the right direction throughout this journey. Also, thankful for the efforts of all staff to make these days successful. I would conclude my learning as follows:

3 things that I liked –

  1. Sharing our personal and professional life with complete strangers and hearing about the same from them.
  2. Finding out the answers to all the WHY’s of our life.
  3. Creating a strong bond with the members ending up in friendships for the lifetime.

2 things that I implemented –

  1. All the habits that are discussed elaborately in life classes have an impact on our lives. To be specific, I have understood the importance of listening. So, I am trying to become an empathetic listener to increase my Emotional Bank Account.
  2. After attending the life classes, I have understood the importance of LIFE. I have become more attentive towards my body, mind, and soul. Now, I often listen to them.

1 thing that I need to improve –

  1. Begin with the end in mind. I still need to improve my thinking skills to foresee the results of my actions. I want to achieve excellence in planning things and implementing them on time.

With gratitude and warm regards,

Vaishali Chauhan 🙂

Life Class-reflection

A famous quote says that, “A man is known by the company he keeps”. This quote becomes significant in the context of our life class sessions on 7 habits. These classes not only gave us an opportunity to be in the company of people who opened up new avenues of thinking for us but also taught us the value of inculcating and pursuing habits which are essential to be an effective personality. Having such habits will not only benefit us as an individual, but will also have a positive influence on the people around us.

To be honest, I enjoyed these classes from day 1 as it gave us an insight about our own life and others too. It taught us that how we all are different as individuals and how everyone is fighting their own battle. It also taught us what kind of sacrifices we have made and how much we all have suffered to reach to a point where we all are right now. Having said that, the best part of these classes is to get to know that despite all these there is always a silver lining in every cloud and all the hardships has an end. We all just need to have a different approach towards life and few changes in our habits and mindset will definitely take us to a long destination.

I would particularly like to say that these classes were a huge factor for our individual and professional growth. Sometimes we all get stuck as a person and don’t know what to do and which path to follow, but now we are confident that we have a tool in our hand in the form of right habits and practices which will definitely serve us to take an informed and correct choice. The hard work of our facilitators and active participation of all the members made these classes a huge success and we are thankful to the school to gave us this opportunity to participate and be a part of this learning expedition. In the end I would only say that it’s not  the end of the life classes but a new beginning of inculcating and practicing the habits and values learned in real life. It is the time to apply everything practically to become an effective and morally sound individual.

Reflection – Life Classes

I really appreciate Fountainhead School to make us learn 7 habits which is very useful in our personal and professional life. The principles are easy to understand but difficult to apply and practice. I have learned a lot in this classes and tried to implement in real life.

Over a year I have laughed, made more friends at workplace for first time and wanted to be connected with them. I have also become responsible for my health and well-being.

I would like to thank the facilitators Tasnim Ma’am and Mitali Ma’am for motivating and guiding us through out the classes.

Overall, it was a good experience !!!

Life Learning Experience…..!!!

The day I saw the book ” The 7 habits of highly effective people”, my first reaction was like, Oh No! Do I have to read all these pages !! But, when the classes began, it was really an amazing experience. We laughed, we cried, we shared our life experiences.

Whenever we were informed to watched movies, I always thought that this movie is watched by everyone, why is it been shown again!!! But, believe me whenever I watched the movie, the movie was same, the characters and dialogues were same, but the only thing different was my perspective to watch the same movie from a different angle.

These classes were really helpful not only professionally but personally. Many of my paradigms have shifted which has changed my way of living totally. There were moments where we wrote sorry and thank you letters to our loved ones. It was really a wonderful experience. I still remember the death exercise when the all the members had tears in their eyes but it had such a positive impact on my life, where I always think about the end in my mind before initiating anything.

Shraddha Ma’am and Ravindra Sir brought life to classes. Thank you so much for enlightening our learning and providing us the opportunity to attend such classes. The moments lived in these classes will always be cherished by me.

Overall It was AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE….!!!!

Lifelong learning lessons

“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.” Well said by Mr. Henry Ford.

After attending the Life class I have got the different lenses to think about life. I have started to think critically.

There is much to be learned and it is all what life classes has brought in me and the aspects of my life. Personally, I can apply many of the material it describes, into my life.

I am eagerly waiting to explore and discover how we will analyse the seven habits and apply them in various ways in our lives!

Also want to thank the brilliant facilitators, whenever I have attended their session they are always ready with something new which is the best part of it.

Thank you!

Reflection of life class

I am really very thankful to Fountainhead school community for arranging such sessions for their members as it actually helps us a lot in many aspects. We all want to succeed. And one path to success is identifying the habits that can help us on our journey. I had already started implementing the habit 4 and 7. Now I had started taking care of my health. For the implementing of Habit 4, I have started taking PD along with my team in that I have started sharing some knowledge that I know with my team members for their personal development because of that it enhances my reading skills. I am really thankful for my facilitator for sharing their experiences and motivating us to share.

Reflection of Life class sessions

I am really very thankful to Fountainhead school community for arranging such sessions for their community members as it actually helps us  a lot in many aspects. I had implemented Habit 5: Seek first to understand then to be understood, and it actually helps me in both my personal and professional life. I am trying to implement many things that i have understood in life class sessions and I am so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful sessions. I really want to thank Tasnim Ma’am and Mitali Ma’am for sharing their experiences with us and make the sessions lively.

In Awe of The Human Spirit

It was really worth the wait of looking forward to a LIFE class. I really wish if something like this would have been taught to us earlier in student life then a lot of time and energy could have been utilized in doing the better stuff than those invested in trials and errors of merely trying to get by our lives dealing with its issues.

Nevertheless better late than never. So, first of all thanks to Sir and Ma’m for imbibing a program like this as part of our professional development which actually leads to development at personal level too and thanks to our Facilitators Mitali Ma’am and Tasneem Ma’am for being good listeners and facilitators. I had goosebumps hearing the challenges faced by my colleagues and amazed at the thought as to what all one can go through and still go on living so normally, so humbly so ferociously. So I would even go all out to salute each one of them to live it all courageously. It was an eye opener and just helped me to put my life and issues in perspective, yes in the right perspective that I, me, my life and my problems are not the center of the universe and that it is in every way possible to go beyond them and resurrect to a better place, person, situation or a better life. So it was a good lesson in itself, a precursor to the Habit 1: Be proactive leading me to be In Awe of The Human Spirit.
