Imbibing values

Today I am sitting and trying to recollect all the things I have learned in my first life-class, ‘Seven Habits’. I feel like I have achieved a sense of gratitude.
I still remember my first day when we were asked to share the grievances which were hampering our way for prosperity. That beautiful engagement just made me realize how small my problems are. As humans, we victimize ourselves and try to escape from the reality thinking that the problems prevail only in our lives. I am glad I realized that responding is crucial while reacting isn’t and I might lose out on people/things if I don’t remain calm and if I give importance to the problems then to solutions.
We were asked to analyze the way we would have spent our time if we had 24 hours left. The engagement made me realize the importance of my family. It has given me a lesson to not miss out on things I want to do in life.
I believe I am still in the process to attain balance in my life from all the four aspects. I am happy that I have achieved the first step of realization as it will help me now to take steps to attain it.
‘This shall pass too’ (mentioned by Hussain Sir) – a  thing I have learned and inculcated in my life. This statement has helped me to have strength in my blues and calm in my good times.
It is said that the childhood phase is the best as one can commit mistakes and can forget it freely. However, life class as a medium has helped me to not forget the mistakes rather accept those mistakes.
I am thankful to Richa maám and Bhumika maám for having the tremendous patience to listen to each one of us and guide us.

Aashiya Batra

Life Class Reflection:7 Habits Gama

Life class was an opportunity to take time and reflect upon our actions & behaviours based on different situations. It helped us consider it important to take a look at the habits which can be inculcated for living a better life & helping build stronger relationships. The journey has been amazing & enriching experience where we learnt about the application of 7habits & how can our small acts of kindness bring a lot of difference in the EBA that we share with people. The life class was activity-based & it helped us be interested in the classes.

Thank You to Anita & Juhi ma’am.

7 Habits Gama

It was an enduring experience. I got quite a good insight about the 7 habits. I was able to connect it in a better way as I have already read the book. I came to know about looking at various perspectives of the same thing. It has helped me in my struggling areas and I have changed a bit for good.

7 Habits LC Alpha

Habit: A habit (or wont as a humorous and formal term) is a routine of behavior that is repeated regularly and tends to occur subconsciously. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Habit)

Before I begin my reflection on the LC I would like to acknowledge my facilitators Ms. Bhumika Jain & Ms. Richa Sharda for helping me through the 7 habits and these habits have gradually become my habits.

The whole experience was an amalgamation of Emotions, Knowledge sharing, Paradigm shifts, Mental growth and Perspectives. Experience sharing from team mates made the classes more dynamic. There were so many takeaways from what I heard, what I saw and what I felt. I can see the difference in my thoughts and my actions and I feel good within.

Looking forward to attend such classes further.

“We are what we repeatedly do, success is not an action it’s a habit”

Life Class 2018 19

  1. The term ‘Life Classes’ itself says that it is a way we can deal and lead our general life problems, through the book by Stephen Covey ‘7 Habits’. I would cherish this opportunity by our school to teach and get insights of our own self. We often confuse and don’t realise the essence of leading a successful life. These sessions gave a bigger picture by explaining through videos, activities, discussions, personal sharings etc. Many emotional ups and downs struck the class but it all summarised to a point of unique solutions. I can now scan and see through the reasons and reactions of my problems. Now I would just reflect on my life with the consciousness of these theories, to lead a simpler life. No, not a life without problems but a life without any baggages and expectations. I loved and give Kudos to our facilitators Mayur Sir and Khushboo Ma’am. Thankyou to the FS culture and management for this wonderful opportunity and insights.

Habits Change Into Character.

“Life doesn’t require that we be the best, only that WE TRY OUR BEST.”

-H. Jackson Brown Jr.

I entered the life class with a blank slate, not knowing what it shall unfold. Here I got to know the ‘Seven Habits’ that makes a person effective by Stephen Covey. I heard people and their experiences as well. The only activity which I personally connected with was the ‘death activity’. It made me realize how uncertain life is and how I should value all the people associated with my life all the more.

But I believe that life should be lived unplanned. It is also okay to make mistakes in the process and let it go and learn from these mistakes rather than holding onto them, because “When you let go you create space for something better.”

7 Habits Class

After attending 8 days of life class at Fountainhead School, it has helped me perceiving the rest of the world with different lenses, it has made me patient and it has helped me in eliminating the bad habits and installing new patterns in day today life. I enjoyed all the moments to the fullest. Very few of us in our life gets this opportunity to attend such sessions in our professional life. It has brought positive and permanent shifts in my life, has helped to learn self-empowerment techniques, helped to gain valuable insight into self-appreciation and self-belief, helped in achieving our goals, be it personal, professional or career and  it has helped me to  create possibilities in every area of life,  inspired to enjoy my life.

We know that the solution to a problem lies within the problem itself, however at times we are so much worried about the problems that we fail to analyse the solution. I feel we all are sailing in the same boat. The principle “No one can teach you by force, you can only learn if you are willing” worked wonders for me. I truly believe that if a person if willing to do something, willing to change themselves then nothing can stop them. Today when I evaluate myself I see that I am a very different person from what I was before stepping in the professional world.

I have started implementing these learning in my life and I feel happy.

Thank you.

Life Class Reflection

“Life classes”…. I always wondered about these classes when I first heard the name. But to my surprise, it turned out to be very positive in my life.

Mayur Sir and Khusboo Ma’am were our facilitators and they made these sessions as one of the valuable and cherishable time at school.

Attending life classes was very much worthy, I greatly appreciate Fountainhead for providing me this opportunity. I feel it was very important to have a good insight into all the seven habits. This has broadened my understanding of the values for life to a greater extent. Applying these habits will help me become more successful in various aspects of life. It will also help me develop my personal as well as professional life.

The paramount of understanding occurred when the sharing amongst the peers happened. I had never savored an opportunity before in my life wherein at the same time I was able to understand the concepts through uncountable perspectives. Application of the habits is not easy though but was equally fundamental to transform, hence, a decision to try was utmost important then.

Finally, yet importantly, I would like to thank all the people in the school (leaders, facilitators, staff, peers) who have played a crucial role in my learning and/or organizing this life class for me. It has definitely deepened my knowledge and the way now I look at things now!
