My painting experience weekend

I was always interested in drawing, painting but I was not having the skill to do it. It was a wonderful opportunity to get myself enroll. I enjoyed both the days.

On day 1- I loved canvas painting. Where we observed nature, we reflect on our thoughts and portrayed it on canvas.

On the next day we learnt Phad art which was focusing on Rajasthani culture. We learnt how do they use colors, materials, design.

Indeed my weekend was colorful.

Where my thoughts, images, stories, color were on the paper

Making my heart sing…

and soul dance.

I went home feeling very happy and looking forward.

Reflection on the first two sessions of Integrity and EI class

Being the batch to have both the topics of Integrity and Emotional intelligence together, we had a very experience on the first two days of our session. We started the class with sharing personal thoughts on the topic integrity. We drew logo of what integrity means to us. A good sharing of the perspectives lead us to the clearer vision of how integrity is a set of values which include many things in itself. We then had discussion about what stops us from following the principles of integrity. This lead us the discussion of fear. We learned about the types of fear. We saw how each and every type of fear is connected and related them to our personal lives as well. We had a very good sharing of our perspectives and we also leveled our fears. We discussed how can the fears be overcome. Short videos that we watched gave us a greater insight on the topics of how we need to overcome our fear on our own for our own emotional and mental well being. I am curious to learn more about the topic. Glad to have facilitators that are so understanding and are always there to listen their group members.

Takeaways – Emotional Intelligence

Firstly the term ‘Emotional intelligence’ was very much alien term to me.But both the days of life classes have helped me to focus more about human emotions and also bit of physiology. There was lot of peer sharing which helped again to unlearn and relearn about few complex topics associated with emotions. The best part of the session was realising how vital mindful listening is when we talk about communication skills. There were few videos which was used to brainstorm about particular scenario. The example shared in video by Gaur Gopal Das was really effective. In a lucid way it helped us to realize how we drag with different emotions when we are happy & sad. It was great opportunity to introspect about ourselves and think the practices that can help us to synergies well with team members and other people in our life.

LC on Integrity and EI – kappa

Life classes are always a breather amidst the regular busy schedule at FS. Coming to school without even a thought of what will be my agenda today and are there any tasks pending is always welcome.

These two days had been fruitful. We revisited the traits and benefits of being non-judgemental, accepting the fears, focussing on action, parting with illegitimate pains, and turning legitimate pains into power. All the while being pivoted to the concepts of Integrity.

The movie, “My sister’s keeper”, was a very appropriate selection. It was a heavy movie in terms of human emotions and human nature.  We shared our reflections making connections from our personal lives.

Thanks to FS for this opportunity!

The last day of integrity leaves us with lots of memories to overcome our fear. Introspection is the key to understanding one’s emotional needs. The group discussions and the discussion with Vardan sir were insightful. The visit to the old age home did shift my paradigm a bit. It also gave me a scope to understand multiple perspectives. Overall, it was a wonderful journey. Thank you to our fascinating facilitators Puja Agrawal and Dipti Sehgal for a memorable journey.

Integrity

The experience and activities of life class has been enriching… There will always be things where our perspectives come out different but life classes have taught me to accept and consider all perspectives. There is nothing right and nothing wrong as long as you are true to yourselves. That is the most lovely takeaway for me. That’s integrity summed up for me.

I would also like to take this opprotunity to thank my facilitators for being patient and understanding. Being a fresher, you guys made all the possible efforts to make these classes interesting and interactive.

Thank You.

Integrity

This life class allowed me introspect myself. To identify my biggest fears and work on them. To hear others stories and understand that it’s okay to be unhappy. All the sessions planned were systematic and helped us in our personal lives. Thanks for making me feel better.
