Reflecting on 7 Habits day 1 & 2 (Delta)

I had the opportunity to participate in a Life class that was centered around the transformative principles of the 7 Habits. Through this course, I delved into essential concepts that have the potential to improve various aspects of my life.

Throughout the life classes, each habit unfolded its significance in my life. I realized that being proactive empowered me to take charge of my reactions to situations rather than being driven by them. Beginning with the end in mind gave me a renewed sense of purpose, enabling me to align my actions with my long-term goals. Putting first things first was a struggle initially, but with practice, I became better at prioritizing tasks and managing my time efficiently.

It has been a transformative experience that has equipped me with invaluable tools to lead a purpose-driven and fulfilling life. As I move forward, I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and the positive impact I can make on myself and others.

Experience of life class

I have heard a lot about the life class, and it was truly an enriching experience. I am immensely grateful to Utsav Sir and Wilmot Sir for providing us with such a precious opportunity.
Over the past two days, I had the incredible chance to immerse myself in a life class centered around the renowned “Seven Habits.” Guided by these principles, I underwent a profound transformation that I couldn’t have anticipated. The first habit, “Be Proactive,” set the stage for the entire experience. I realized that I held more power over my life than I had previously acknowledged.”Begin with the end in mind” served as my compass, reminding me to set clear intentions for each day and long-term aspirations for my life. This clarity brought a newfound sense of purpose and motivation. Moreover, “Put first things first” helped me prioritize tasks that aligned with my goals, reducing distractions and allowing me to focus on what truly mattered.
Key moments for me during the life class on days 1-2 include Utsav Sir’s compelling drama about father, Wilmot Sir’s captivating story-sharing, and the unexpected emergency singing session.
The life class provided an environment where we could learn and grow, surrounded by supportive mentors and engaging activities. It was a journey of self-discovery and personal development that I will cherish forever. These invaluable lessons and experiences will undoubtedly influence the way I approach life and make decisions in the future

7 Habits-Love and Gamma-day 1 & 2

Firstly I would like to thank my Facilitator’s for putting in so much time and effort and to make things look simple and easy.
The class began with the definition of “what perfect life means to me”. My way of looking at things have changed to a certain point and my reaction towards it .We spoke about our mission and vision towards life .And the best part was how people would react for your  obituary.
I feel more confident and control towards my life and I am extremely grateful for this incredible experience and looking forward to learn more .

Reflection of my Life Class

Participating in Life Class based on Dr. Stephen Covey’s book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” has been a trans formative and eye-opening experience for me. The workshop focused on empowering individuals to develop their character and effectiveness in both personal and professional aspects of life. Here are some reflections on the key takeaways from the workshop:

Pro activity: One of the fundamental principles I learned was the importance of being proactive. Instead of being reactive to circumstances, the workshop emphasised taking initiative and responsibility for our own lives. Understanding that we have the power to choose our responses to events and situations was a powerful mindset shift.

Begin with the end in mind: Another significant concept discussed was starting with a clear vision of what we want to achieve in our lives. By setting long-term goals and aligning our actions with those goals, we can lead a purpose-driven life and avoid getting caught up in distractions.

Putting first things first: Time management and prioritisation were crucial aspects covered in the workshop. Dr. Covey’s Time Management Matrix, which categories tasks into quadrants based on urgency and importance, helped me identify areas where I could improve my productivity and focus on tasks that truly matter.

Think win-win: Learning about the win-win approach to interpersonal relationships was enlightening. Emphasising mutual benefit and cooperation rather than competition can lead to more sustainable and harmonious interactions with others.

Seek first to understand, then to be understood: Effective communication is a vital skill, and this habit stressed the importance of active listening and empathetic understanding before presenting our own ideas. This habit encouraged fostering a supportive and respectful environment in both personal and professional interactions

.Synergy: The concept of synergy taught during the workshop encouraged collaborative problem-solving and creative brainstorming. By valuing diverse perspectives and working together, we can achieve better outcomes than individual efforts.

Sharpen the saw: The final habit emphasised the significance of self-renewal and continuous improvement. Taking care of our physical, mental, and emotional well-being is essential to maintaining a sustainable and balanced lifestyle.Overall, the workshop based on “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” provided practical tools and insights that can be applied in various aspects of life. It highlighted the importance of character development, proactive behaviour, and fostering healthy relationships. I came away from the workshop feeling motivated to apply these habits to my daily life and work towards becoming a more effective and fulfilled individual.

7 Habits and Love (Gamma) – Day 1 & 2.

First of all I would like to thank the school and their vision that puts an emphasis on creating a holistic environment for all of it’s stakeholders. The past two days went away in a hurry of happiness and life long learning experience. The class began with ‘life’ – my definition of perfect life and what is stopping us from our perfect life. It infact, lead us to contemplate life and its meaning. The next major idea was on paradigm shift and how we as individuals view the world and hoipolloi. This led to our understanding on how we respond or react to the world and its people and inturn it affects our concerns and what we influence. Thinking about death made our eyes rain but lead us to define our mission. Talking about mission, we learned to set our priorities and think about what we really care for. Lastly, we got to know about emotional bank account and what it really means.

Critical Thinking _ Eta

Critical Thinking life class for the first two days was extremely helpful in knowing about the what, when, why, how, where, and who of the involved subjects. We require Critical Thinking in all walks of life for better decision-making and living a life with less of barriers. The facilitators in the class were helpful and gave extended knowledge on the topic by taking real-life examples. Though personally, I am a critical thinker, light was thrown on various dimensions like politics, media, ethics, and moral character from different perspectives. There was a debate kind of on topics such as Astrology, Vastu Shashtra, and politics. Day two started with the movie Oppenheimer. Being the movie based on scientific invention, it was more of critical thinking on ethics versus the value of knowledge, politics, duty biases, decision making, and student-teacher approach to the field of education that we are in. Both days were enjoyable along with tons of perspectives.

Unleash your potential to think critically!

Thinking Critically?? Yes, I can, you can, we all can. This skill is just there, we just have to practice!
On day 1 of the critical thinking workshop we uncovered the superpowers of analysis: the 5 ‘W’s and 1 ‘H’! As Bhargavi madam and Bhumit Sir guided us on this thrilling journey, we were poised to soar through intellectual horizons.
We watched thought provoking short animated video that made our brains buzz with new perspectives! It was an exhilarating challenge, unleashing the metacognitive and dialectical thinkers within us. Together, we questioned, debated, and grew!
Diving further, we were posed with various topics. Our thoughts were unleashed, assumptions challenged, and our critical thinking muscles grew stronger!
Skepticism, gullibility and pseudoscience were new concepts for me. Of all the discussions, system thinking was my take away from this session which made me analyse on my thinking. Looking forward to think more and listen more!

Critical Thinking

Question. Important to question something, someone, our beliefs, values, and existence. To know and decide what’s right, wrong or be neutral about it.

Knowing our thinking system is a way to to know about ourselves and the way we operate. It’s thinking about our own thinking.

Let’s keep exploring ourselves!!

Critical thinking Kappa

This was the first two days of life class year 2023-24. I truly enjoyed the session conducted by Aman sir and Tabassum ma’am, they were very interactive during the session, using simple language and giving real life examples so that it was easy to understand the content they are delivering. 1st day was all about ice breaking and understanding the critical thinking why it’s required? When to use it? How it works (system 1 and system 2). Day two we went to see movie “Oppenheimer” it was worth watching and Cristopher Nolan has always set standards high. It was about the life journey of the father of atom bomb. We discussed the movie in group and it was worth it.

Critical Thinking

Critical Thinking questioning, analyzing, interpreting and evaluating a situtaion/ idea to make reasonablt judgements. Using critical thinking, in other words, allows individuals to engage with ideas, consider different perspectives, and arrive at reasonable conclusions. Everyone in their life will require critical thinking mostly when higher stakes are involved.

Exploring System 1 and System 2 thinking and how our reflexion and reflective brain works helped me understand that System 1 is fast, intuitive and emotional, while System 2 is slower, more deliberative and logical.
