Johari Window & the Rockstar Teacher
My First Day of Learning, Exploring, and Growing
My first day was filled with curiosity, excitement, and new experiences. I was a little curious about what the day would bring, and I was eager to learn something new. The activities helped me understand myself better and reminded me that every teacher has the potential to become a Rockstar Teacher.
Understanding the Johari Window
The Johari Window is a simple tool that helps us understand ourselves and how others see us. It has four areas:
Open Area: Things I know about myself and others also know.
Blind Area: Things others notice about me, but I may not notice myself.
Hidden Area: Things I know about myself but do not always share with others.
Unknown Area: Things about myself that neither I nor others have discovered yet.
As a teacher, understanding these areas helps me become more self-aware, open to feedback, and willing to grow.
