Amygdala Hijack

Amygdala Hijack – Key Pointers
Trigger: Something makes you feel threatened, stressed, angry, or overwhelmed.
Instant reaction: The brain’s emotional alarm system takes over quickly.
Body response: Heart rate, breathing, and muscle tension may increase.
Less logical thinking: It can become harder to think clearly or respond calmly.
Pause & reset: Take a moment, breathe slowly, and create some space.
Respond, don’t react: Once calm, think through the situation and choose your response.

First day we learnt about amygdala hijack that we face in our day to day life. Second day we learnt about Johari window in that we have learnt about Arena, Blind spot, Facade and Unknown. We also learnt about Reaction and Response.
