Finding Joy in the Art Room: A Creative Journey

As an educator, I always look forward to moments when I get to be a learner myself. Recently, I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in an art class that truly sparked my curiosity and creativity. The session was centred around three fascinating forms of expression—nature art, embroidery, and texture art—each offering a unique way to connect with the world around us.

The journey began with nature art, where we explored the beauty of natural materials like leaves, twigs, flowers, and stones. It was a refreshing reminder of how art can be created outside traditional tools and mediums, simply by observing and appreciating nature’s own designs. I found it calming and inspiring to arrange natural elements into patterns and compositions, celebrating the Earth’s textures and colours.

Next, we dabbled in embroidery, a craft that taught me patience and attention to detail. Using needle and thread to create patterns on fabric felt meditative and deeply satisfying.

Our exploration ended with texture art, which invited us to experiment with various materials to create tactile, layered artwork. I am truly looking forward to more such sessions where I can continue to explore, create, and learn. Opportunities like these not only nurture our own growth as educators but also inspire us to bring more creativity and joy into our learning environments.

Exploring Art- Chaahat D

Attending the Life Class: Discovering Art was a truly enriching experience. I explored various creative techniques including stitching, tote bag painting, and texture art. Each activity allowed me to express myself in new and exciting ways. Painting on a tote bag was especially enjoyable—turning something functional into a unique piece of art. Stitching helped me focus and appreciate the beauty in detail, while texture art opened up a whole new dimension of creativity. The class was not only relaxing but also inspiring, helping me reconnect with my artistic side. I look forward to more such creative opportunities. Chaahat made sure we all could explore our creative side.

Found myself in Art (Art and Skills)

Art gives us meaning and helps us understand our world. Scientific studies have proven that art appreciation improves our quality of life and makes us feel good. When we create art, we elevate our mood, we improve our ability to problem solve, and open our minds to new ideas.
I really enjoyed this art and skill life class sessions. I like to do all the art works which we did in the all sessions. Through this sessions i learned new art ideas. It makes my mind stable. I am happy that I spent time for myself. I prefer the final products that I’ve crafted in my art life class the most.
Thank you so much to Priyanka ma’am and Neha ma’am for the beautiful and creative sessions.

Exploring the world of Art

Embarking on a creative journey through various art classes has been an enriching and inspiring experience. From the intricate world of glue gun art to the soothing rhythm of pottery, each class has opened my eyes to the vast and diverse realm of artistic expression.

The first class introduced me to the fascinating world of glue gun art. Initially, I was skeptical about what could be achieved with a simple glue gun, but the results were nothing short of amazing. The instructor guided us through techniques, showcasing how this versatile tool could transform mundane objects into unique pieces of art. From creating textured canvases to crafting three-dimensional sculptures, the possibilities seemed endless.

Moving on, plastic canvas stitching brought a sense of precision and detail to my artistic repertoire. The rhythmic weaving of threads through the canvas allowed me to create intricate patterns and designs. This meditative process not only honed my focus but also produced stunning, tactile artworks that blended traditional stitching with modern aesthetics.

One of the highlights of the art classes was delving into the traditional Indian art form of Lippan. Originating from the Kutch region of Gujarat, Lippan art involves creating intricate mud and mirror work on walls. The vibrant colors and reflective surfaces added a touch of cultural richness to my artistic endeavors.

The tactile nature of pottery provided a therapeutic escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Getting my hands dirty and shaping clay into various forms was not only enjoyable but also a lesson in patience and mindfulness. The wheel throwing sessions and hand-building techniques allowed me to create functional and decorative pieces, each with its own unique charm.

Appreciation:

As I reflect on my journey through these diverse art classes, I am filled with gratitude for the talented instructors who shared their expertise and passion. Each class provided a space for self-discovery and personal expression. Beyond the technical skills acquired, the classes fostered a sense of community among fellow art enthusiasts. Attending these art classes has been a transformative experience, unlocking my creativity and broadening my artistic horizons. From glue gun art to pottery, each medium offered a unique avenue for self-expression. I leave these classes not just with newfound skills but also with a deep appreciation for the beauty that can be created when imagination meets craftsmanship.

Art and Skills- Life Class

I was exited to be the part of this life-class as I am passionate to all kinds of Art work. As planned first day I painted a bedsheet with fabric paints. This skill was not new to me as I have done a lot of Art work in my school and college days. But it was fun doing the art. Second day we learned the Anemone art, this was something new for me as I used the Glue-gun for the first time. I could not produce the best art-piece but learning a new skill gives one a satisfaction.

I could not attend third to sixth day of Life class due to involvement of other projects in school. But I took update from my friends, I also made a Lippan art piece for one of my friend during Diwali vacation. I look forward to create some more art pieces in future. I always feel there is an Artist within me. I love to see my created art work again and again.

Embracing Creativity: A Journey of Exploring Art and Skills Workshop

I was eagerly looking forward to attending the Art and Skills workshop since the day it was announced as part of life classes. Finally, this year, I got the opportunity to attend these classes!

Not gonna lie, Day 1 was a little overwhelming seeing all the other participants doing such amazing artwork, and so quickly too! But gradually, I started exploring how I would like to work and what I’m interested in, and began enjoying these classes.I enjoyed creating some interesting art forms like pottery, acrylic cloth painting, and tissue paper art. The best part was doing mandala art whenever we had some time on hand.

The overall experience was rejuvenating with some fun conversations, good music, and a lot of interesting art projects.Thank you, Neha ma’am and Priyanka ma’am.

Art and Skills Life class

  • Art class has been amazing! It brings me peace and helps me focus better, almost like meditation. Even though I struggled with some projects like Anemone and Tissue Paper art, I persevered and finished them. I may not be a natural with colors, but I love using them and want to learn more. Time constraints meant I couldn’t do the Mandala, but that’s okay.
  • My proudest moment was creating an Acrylic fabric painting on my dupatta. It turned out so beautiful, and I felt incredible seeing it finished! “Yes, I did it!” I thought with a smile.
  • Lippan Art was another highlight. I made two pieces, and they both look fantastic! The pottery session was fascinating, too. Rahul sir’s detailed explanation, from getting the mud to the final product, was captivating. The video tutorial was excellent, and touching the clay with closed eyes created a real connection. I loved molding the clay and shaping it into objects.
  • The last two days brought cross-stitching on a mat and a cooking session. It was a great reminder that cooking isn’t just a chore, it’s an art form too!
  • Overall, art class has been a journey of discovery and joy. I learned new skills, challenged myself, and created beautiful things. It’s truly an experience I’ll cherish!
