Leading with Emotional Intelligence
Our recent Life Classes on Emotional Intelligence and People Management gave us a chance to look beyond what we do and understand why we react the way we do.We explored the Amygdala Hijack and how emotions can sometimes take over before we get a chance to think.
The simple lesson was to pause before reacting, because that small pause can change how we handle situations and people. We also discussed the Johari Window, helping us reflect on our strengths and blind spots.
Along with this, we learnt why giving and receiving critical feedback is important for growth, especially when it is shared with the right intent and in a constructive way.Ultimately, emotional intelligence is about being aware of our emotions, managing them, and choosing how we respond.
