Our Mindset: What We Learned About Emotions and People Management
In this two-day life class, our batch discussed emotional intelligence and how to manage both ourselves and our interactions with others. We learned about the “amygdala hijack”—that sudden moment when strong emotions take over before our brain has time to process what’s happening. Through interactive discussions, we practiced how to pause, control our impulses, and choose a thoughtful response instead of reacting on the spot. Hearing everyone open up and share their personal stories was the best part of the session. It showed us that no matter our differences, we are all in the same boat when it comes to dealing with emotions and working well with people.
