{"id":9144,"date":"2025-11-04T09:30:32","date_gmt":"2025-11-04T09:30:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lifeclasses.fountainheadschools.org\/?p=9144"},"modified":"2025-11-04T09:30:33","modified_gmt":"2025-11-04T09:30:33","slug":"intertwining-faith-with-critical-thinking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifeclasses.fountainheadschools.org\/?p=9144","title":{"rendered":"Intertwining Faith with Critical thinking"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>In our recent Life Class, we delved into some of humanity\u2019s oldest and deepest ideas like <em>religion, spirituality, belief, rituals, traditions,<\/em> and <em>customs.<\/em> We explored how these concepts overlap yet remain distinct: religion often provides structure, spirituality offers personal connection, belief gives purpose, rituals bring consistency, and traditions bind communities.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Vardan Sir\u2019s session was particularly thought-provoking. He candidly shared his journey of becoming an atheist, which opened up a space for honest questions. His perspective encouraged us to look inward \u2014 to challenge what we\u2019ve been told and to define what we truly believe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also watched <em>The Man from Earth,<\/em> a film that beautifully blurs the line between faith, history, and logic. The discussion that followed pushed us to think critically, to question our assumptions, and to consider that truth can sometimes exist beyond what\u2019s provable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through it all, I found myself arriving at a clearer understanding of my own identity of a <em>spiritual believer.<\/em> I wouldn\u2019t call myself a staunch follower of my community\u2019s religious practice, but I do hold faith in the fundamental values that religion teaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This session wasn\u2019t just about defining what we believ,  it was about learning to <em>think<\/em> about belief itself.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In our recent Life Class, we delved into some of humanity\u2019s oldest and deepest ideas like religion, spirituality, belief, rituals, traditions, and customs.
