One that I could relate to strongly is declinism. I strongly hold the view that the childhood of our generation was far more idyllic, innocent and fun than childhoods of today. My reasons to support the claim was the explosive advent of technology for the current generation which has reduced their outdoor time etc.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>On further thinking and looking for disconfirming evidence, \u00a0I realized that every generation has had its own version of a key distractor. For my generation: It was the telelvision, for the generation 5- 10 years younger to me, it would be satellite television bringing &#8220;western culture&#8221; to our living rooms in the form of Channel V and MTV and for the generation after that, the Internet.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Similarly, generations older to me too would have their own monsters responsible for &#8220;ruining the childhood&#8221;<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; I could connect to many cognitive biases that I find in my decision and opinion making.
