{"id":601,"date":"2016-08-31T07:37:35","date_gmt":"2016-08-31T07:37:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lifeclasses.fountainheadschools.org\/?p=601"},"modified":"2016-08-31T07:37:35","modified_gmt":"2016-08-31T07:37:35","slug":"critical-thinking-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifeclasses.fountainheadschools.org\/?p=601","title":{"rendered":"Critical Thinking!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A vague idea of what \u2018Critical Thinking\u2019 &#8211; It is thinking from a different perspective or digging deep into the information available to reach a conclusion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Googling gave me the first meaning of Critical thinking &#8211; <\/span><b>\u2018the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgement\u2019.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In my<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">opinion most of the decisions in life need critical thinking, but for that we need to understand \u201cWhat Critical Thinking actually is?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One part of the workshop was to go through the list of biases, and as I started reading it&#8230; I was like \u201c Oh! This also applies to me, I am biased in this way as well\u2026\u201d and the list was never ending.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Negativity bias<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Inclined towards the thinking of more of unpleasant events (greater recall of unpleasant memories) than the pleasant one. Whenever I start a task and if I come across a negative memory \/ fact, \u00a0I get demotivated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Google effect<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; The tendency to forget information that can be found readily online by using Internet search engines. This one I found interesting. If I do not understand even a small thing (E.g if I have to cook and I have already made that dish earlier I will still go back and search it on Google.) and I have the answers. Most people can relate to this.
